Congratulations to all MHS faculty, staff, administration and STUDENTS on the outstanding work last year in improving the API score. This score represents an overall measurement of student performance in many academic areas. All MHS Students: The tutoring program has begun in the MHS Library Mon- Thursday. Check out times and specific subjects in the library. NOVA NET – After School Credit Recovery Program: If you are a junior or senior you may be eligible to make up academic coursework in English or Social Science. Classes meet before school and after school. See your counselor for more information at lunch or after school. Seniors: September 13, 2008 Black College Summit @ Mt.Sac- Meet Recruiters, and receive information on admissions & financial aid from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 pm Juniors: PSAT: Juniors plan ahead, & make sure you sign up for the PSAT - Test Date: Saturday Oct 18, 2008 @ MHS. The cost is $ 14.00 and students can sign up in the student store. Work Experience /ROP: Juniors and Seniors can sign up for work experience or ROP in P-5. The purpose is to earn elective credit! CSF- California Scholastic Federation (honor society): Sign ups are ongoing until October 1, 2008-See Mrs.Richter in room #10- Please bring copy of school transcript, and fill out an application form. The cost is $4.00. MHS Juniors and Seniors: Earn College Credit: Introduction to Psychology will be offered at MHS through Chaffey College. Start date: Sept.9th- …End date: December- see Mrs. Tim in P-5 for more information. (must have a 2.5 g.p.a.) If you are planning to attend a 4 year college after high school you must take either the SAT or ACT exam.
